Great meeting of Community Quilts Yesterday!
It was short but productive. We managed to layer 40 new quilts and spend time visiting and talking.
If you want to visit with fellow guild members this is the place to be on the third Saturday of the month!
On the business end we also made final disposition of the 247 quilts we have finished this year:
-74 were sent to the Car fire earlier this Summer
-125 will go to foster care and social services
-5 to a JAG classroom that is cold. (they teach basic life skills to struggling teens)
-40+ will go to the Camp fire near Chico
This leaves us without quilts….
If you have CC quilts that are almost done, finish and bring them to the December if possible as we wanted to send more quilts to the survivors of the Camp fire. E
Eternity Quilt Events, with support from Riley Blake fabrics is collecting quilts for distribution to affected individuals and families of the Camp Fire. You can visit the link below for information and details.

Thank you Diane Erickson. I am hearing from members of our guild that they also have contacts for getting quilts to victims of the Camp fire. Members if you want to donate a quilt contact Judi or Cynthia from Community Quilts.
