Jill provided another notable program at the January 2 meeting. She use our computer projector and displayed a fantastic slide show. The projector allowed everyone to easily view the presentation. She taught us about the Gunboats Quilts that were made during the Civil War. These confederate quilts were made and sold for the sole purpose of purchasing gunboats. Each of these boats originally cost $80,000 each! Guess how many they were able to buy??? Ha, ha, if you don’t know, you should have been there on Monday night.
