Dora Cary is a Romanian-born engineer and designer who moved to the United States in 2001, discovered quilting in 2006, made her first quilt and became an American citizen in 2008, and wrote her first quilt pattern in 2013.

Now she has more than 30 quilt and bag patterns and even more patterns are waiting to be created.

Dora’s lecture at the guild meeting will be “From Iron Curtains to Cotton Quilts”.

Dora will be teaching her technique and tips for creating the quilt pattern – Arabesque – at the quild workshop on Saturday, December 3rd.  The workshop fee is $35 plus the cost of the pattern.
