Peer Education – Christmas in July

This event is designed to make felt Christmas ornaments for the auction in November.  A Christmas tree was donated by a sewing circle that is flocked and is 7 1/2 feet tall.  As the tree is very large, the goal is have a large number of ornaments to decorate the tree.

• Tips will be provided on how to work with felt.
• Patterns and some felt will be provided in red, green and white.  Stuffing will also be provided.
• Participants are encouraged to bring brightly colored felt, beads, ribbons, rick rack, embroidery floss and other assorted trims to use on the ornaments.
• Ornaments may be hand sewn or if desired, sewn with a machine.  Please bring your machine if you want to sew ornaments with a machine.
• Pinterest has an amazing variety of free patterns and ideas for ornaments.
