Please see August BOM for the instructions on how to make this block.

In the original instructions I goofed on the final measurements. My sample with the lavender border was made using 4″ squares instead of the 3 ½” in the instructions. That made my sample 12″ finished instead of 10″.
If you are stretching your sewing skills, this is a great block to use different sized squares and/or different cutting widths than those in the instructions. Here is a sample done with 6½” squares with the cut 1½” from the center line.
I might make more with cuts 1¼” from the center seam. I might even try making several and mixing different cutting measurements. Go wild and have fun!
I have corrected the instructions since they went in the newsletter and added a picture to better explain the piecing order, so you may want to click on August BOM to see the changes before starting the project.
